Wheathead Rose of Lancashire - Bay Shire Mare

Sire: Moorfield Edward, Dam: Wheathead Princess Louise,
Dam's Sire: Blackden Charlie

Rose is an outstanding broodmare type. She has a huge body, with great depth and a well balanced conformation that is rarely seen in modern day shires. She has an abundance of good feather and big solid feet. One of this mares best assets is her much desired movement.

Ruskington Foxy Lady – Bay Mare

Sire: Trofarth Cymro (sp),
Dam: Shordley Lady Ceri, Dam's sire: Herswell Premier (sp)

Tested in foal for 2012 to Gorefield Joseph.
Foxy Lady was the first mare to breed at OCS. Since then she has produced some outstanding stock, and always proves to get back in foal. She always produces good quality foals, that are big and strong. She is a well marked and well bred mare with a lovely nature. She is by a black super premium stallion that is a very impressive "old type" shire. She is a very modern mare despite this and the quality is really showing in her offspring.

Acle Marchioness - Bay Shire Mare.

Sire: Bodernog Master
Dam: Acle Duchess, Dam's sire: Stanley House Aristocrat

Tested in foal for 2012 to Dothan Charlie.
Acle Marchioness is one of our older broodmares but has had a successful show career in her day, being Qualified for Shire HOYS on one occasion. She is a perfect mare for us to breed to our stallion Dothan Charlie. She has such good conformation, combined with a lovely temperament and good mothering ability. She has bred many good foals and we hope to continue to breed top quality foals with her in the future!

Grangewood Daphne - Bay Shire Mare.

Sire: Bodernog Master
Dam: Grangewood Sarah, Dam's Sire: Hillmoor Enterprise

Tested in foal for 2012 to Dothan Charlie.
Daphne is a very kind mare that is again mature but still breeding well and exciting us with future breeding potential. She has some outstanding breeding that really suits what we are looking for and aiming to breed to our stallion Dothan Charlie. She has already produced some very good stock, namely Hill Lodge Commander, Junior Champion at National Shire Show 2008 and OC Captivation who is now in Germany.
